The Far Away Tree ©

There was a tree so far away. A symbol of Gods' grace. With branches outstretched like two arms. To embrace Adams race. The tree stood many ages past. Upon a lonely hill. And yet the story is still told. And treasured even still. For on this ancient tree was slain. Gods' only beloved Son. Who paid the price for Adams sin. As he said it was done. Since then the shadow of the tree. Was cast around the globe. It offers up Gods' perfect grace. Like a reassuring robe. To those who seek sweet comfort there. It brings them gently rest. A guarantee of Gods' pure love. And of a life that's blest. I lovingly look to that tree. Whenever life is cold. And know the Lord of life loves me. And to him I will hold.
